Well first week back after the Break. Initial Presentation of work for criticism was today, and some very constructive criticism was received.
Realised that my previous works definately needed to have a boost in the portrayal of the city in a positive way, and that more of the images used should be from my own personal collections.
Also this week we have started playing with the WACOM tablets, and using them in Corel Painter.
With the tablets and the pens, I am able to add little touches to the images that i previously deemed too tedious. sich as writing, and even signing them at the bottom (Very cool).
After gathering the previous criticism and new techniques i have aquired, i have produced this image called City of Peace
This is a photo that I took on Australia Day 2010 and love the power in it... I made the background and the man figure the only thing in focus, as to draw the viewers attention to the person, as if they walk alone.
The nuances are the chalk on the ground, was added Via WACOM tablet, as was the signature at the bottom. I think the new techniques really brought out the idiology i had in mind for this image...
